My Journey in the Performing Arts

Performing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At just three years old, I stepped onto the stage for the first time, dressed as a ballerina poodle—complete with a purple tutu, cotton accents, a cute little tail, and the floppiest ears imaginable. Dance remained a passion throughout my childhood and teenage years, alongside my growing love for music. I studied piano, played string bass in the elementary orchestra, and later joined the Huntsville Youth Orchestra. I also participated in a handbell choir, took voice lessons, and sang in community choruses. By middle school, it was clear to me—music and performing were at the heart of who I was.

Recognizing my passion, my family made the decision to move across the city so I could attend the renowned Lee High School Performing Arts Magnet in Huntsville, Alabama. My experiences there were transformational, shaping my future in musical theatre, show choir, and vocal performance.

I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance (Voice) from Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a master’s degree in Fine Arts and Theatre from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The Birth of Stage Presence Studio

In 2018, I began teaching theatre in Wake County, where I directed a production of Annie. During the show, one of my students asked if I could teach her voice lessons. Though I had extensive vocal training and a degree in voice, I had never formally taught lessons before. But that changed quickly—within a week, I was teaching my first student, and within a month, my schedule had grown to eight students.

By 2021, Stage Presence Studio was officially founded, offering voice lessons, summer musical theatre workshops, and beginner piano lessons.

Our Mission

At Stage Presence Studio, our mission is to help every student grow in confidence and skill, fine-tuning their talent with each lesson. Whether you’re a beginner pianist, a middle school singer, or a high school student honing your craft, we are here to support your journey.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
